Debate

last saturday, my team members were having a meeting at the collge but later decided to change to the starbucks. we stayed there for hours and do our assignments. things go on smoothly except for 1 members absent, kong chian..time is passing by..........until 10 sth,suddenly he pops up from no where with another college friend, crystal..she came for a particular reason and she joined us for our meeting although she was not our team members, quite dramatic that how she end up staying there with us to do our assignment for hours as she live so far.

1.00pm,here come to the lunch time and everyone seem to be stop working(maybe im the one since that they stopped earlier than me),den the derrick say that the food in the pearl point taste like dog food, then i brought him to the other place at mega mendung there to have our lunch, a 'proper fod' for him. he and crystal order the same set of meals and we have a long chatting there and many laughing and lame things.i suddenly laugh ntil cannot control, maybe im juz too long din laugh, dun be surprise for that, or perhaps derrick and kong chian face are too adorable and funny when they are eating and this keep me smile for no purpose.

at the way back to the college,derrick keep saying he is a safe driver, all the things are going in orderly manners but suddenly derrick drive too fast and make a quick turn at the corner in front of the lrt station, make the car like jump off the road and no grip at all..rememebr that u r not alone,there are other life inside there..i noe u pro, juz becareful la, im sure i drive more safe than u..after that incident,crystal lost her college id and she replace it today with RM 15,im wondering maybe she juz in shock and flew her college id card out the window..MAYBE..haha.u r so careless, next time must be aware..

the sunday was quite boring and dragging day..doing nothing\\

here come to the interesting part, today is the debate for english. my team which consist of 3 members were the 3rd group..and again my debate topic was the' freedom of the individual is a myth' ad im the opposing team. overall, my team was praised by the teacher by saying doing many research and we were so happy for that, i was very happy for that. on the other hand, my part is too long and seem dragging BUT informative and emphasize, i admit that maybe way too many,but this was with preparation =)..other than that, i want to say thank you to VINNIE for helping me out by giving me some useful ideas and direction for my debate.

now is the time to continue my freaking assignment which i have done half way, i only wrote bout 1500 words until now, at the last 4 hours..now i feel very sleepy and tired..plus i drink some red wain juz now =)

interviewing the company

Today my group went to interview the Mahajaya company, a big public listed housing development company- is very big and got many shareholders. i met the other group members who consist of kingston, raynor and kong chian, another 2 members were busy and not free to attend the interview. i arrived at college at 12pm and we went to the steven corner to have lunch and chatting while waiting for kong chian's father to fetch us to the company.

We reached there by 2.15pm and the ms irina brought us up to the finance department. we were asked to have a seat while she informed her boss. while we were waiting at the administrative department, there were 2 ladies coming in and mistaken that we were the workers from the maxis company.at that time, there were 2 things pops up in my mind, either we were wearing very smart and mature looking and capable like a professional working adult or we looked mature and old.however, i assume that we were wearing very smart and mature looking and capable like a professional working adult.haha..XD for sure we answer them that we were not from the maxis and we state our purpose here was to interview the manager. recall back,it was quite funny when they asked us. maybe we were wearing formal and with our 'stuffs', juz like a working adult that time.

The first person we iterviewed was the general manager of the finance department, mr andy lau. the interview was quite good, not exactly bad or very good, but juz moderate good. the main problem with our questions were what we learned in the college through the ose module, we cannot juz ask it like that and using the terms, the working environment is different with what we learned in the college. we have to twist the question and make some examples to guide them in answering our questions and ask the qestions in a different way of the same meaning. we cant expect them to understand our theory, our words and terms that we studied in our module because they may not understand it. thus, the first interview was fairly good as there were some pausing and mistakes during the interview session and he cannot fully understand my questions and answer some of my questions, thus there were a little twisting and repeat. thus i try it in a DIFFERENT way asking it so that he can get my questions and i can get the answer for my questions. however, i dont think that i am persisting in it, i was just want a simple answer for the questions and thus, dont be too sensitive in this issues, u think like this doesnt mean others think the same way. my feeling are complicated after the first interview session with the general manager. thus, i ask for a 5 minutes rest before the next interview so that i am able to rearrange everything and try to check on my questions for the following interviewees.

The next person we intervied was the manager of the finance department, mr chew. he basically a nice and friendly person. i have the same opinion of him as his staffs also. he answer all our questions and suddenly make me felt that i was at the right track that time, not at lost. he gave us a clear explanation to us and it was elaborated well with some examples to enhance our understanding. we got many information from him and be able to throw out other relevan questions. we took a photo with him before leaving the meeting room.

After that, we interviewed the secretary and the accountant of the department, ms irina. she worked for the compay juz about 1 years and she was very nice to us. she also answer the questions that we prepared without any problems. when we asked whether she has any grouses, she answer no and she was quite easily satisfied for the working environment and there were no areas of improvement to be carried out(maybe she afraid heard by others as we are not in the meeting room that time as it is not available, somemore we were standing in front of the administrative department).she answer that she learn many things after joining the company and wish to work for the company for the next 5 years time. wow,she is a faithful employee. however, she juz not very happy to work at saturday as many of her friends were working for 5 days in other company. anyway, she is nice.

What i have learn today?actually i have gained valueble experience and expose myself to the workplace-a big company + public listed 1, not a restaurant or shops or shopping mall, whereas is a big company has procedure and high discipline and very organised and follow the system. the staffs in the department are busy with their own works, concentrating and 100% focus.all of them are working adults, carry out their tasks and responsibilities.their works are all related to the numbers as that is a finance department. wow, i cant imagine everyday they are dealing with so many digits and numbers and doing the same work everyday, although they are given opportunity to take more responsibilities when they have the ability to handle more task and trust by the manager. but i juz cant imagine myself sitting inside there to work.there is NO WAY.i can fairly feel the stress of the staffs as an employee in carry out their responsibilities. after the first experiences in carry out an interview with a companywhich consist of different management level, i really learn a lot and get experience. thus i say myself has exposed to the working environment, the outside world.after we are getting expose to it, we will be have a flashback on our past when we were small and we can enjoy freedom and do things and get what we want. however, after we expose to the working environment now, we will feel that we are already an adult and experience new stuffs and learning from the surrounding environment of us independently, cannot just depend on the books and the facts. Be an adult, take up responsibilities. thus, i very appreciate the opportunity of getting experience by exposing myself to the working environment through this interview.

The only failure that i think we done during the interview were having some pause and lack of communication between the team members(generally lack of some preparation), but overall is good. i forgive myself for making mistakes as everyone will make mistakes in the first time, the most important is we can determine our mistakes and work on it as the time we study in college is the time we are 'given te opportunity to make mistakes and try new things' because we cannot afford any mistakes to be made when we are joining the society and working in the workplace. however, i am happy that we finally done with the interview and tomorrow we are going to start doing the report.

Besides,through today interview, i become more sure on my option to go for the engineering field after exposing myself to the 'world of business'.

At last,i think the word count of this article is about 1280 words.thus the minimum requirement of the report of at least 2000 words will not be a problem, somemore plus another 5 members in the group. come on guys, STRIVE HARD and get A+ in this assignment as well as in this module and done a great job in the coming up presentation of our assignment.

Busy....

There is nothing much going on this week. i just done my english listening test for my english module and there will be a debate session for the speaking test. the topic that i got is the 'freedom of the individual is a myth', and i am the opponent, team with mohammad and jeffrey. i dun have much idea on that topic and we have to be prepared by next monday as the teacher will select the team randomly.

Besides,there was a SIG of ENGINEERING meeting today and i have attended it. although the super interest group of the engineering is quite new but the activities and the things that they will going to do is very fun and interesting, there will be an exhibition at the PWTC from 7-11st may about robotic. well, i am having the ose presentation for my group assignment at 7th of may and maybe i will go on the 8th of may. the engineering student are also advisable to buy an electronic kit. as a foundation year student, i may get many benifit through the SIG of ENGINEERING. i can handle and participate in the project that they do and we do it together. maybe next time u come to my college will see the engineering projects that i may have participated. however, beore the end of the meeting, all the students are advisible to write an essay about waht you want to design or invent.

Tomorrow( friday) i got another group assignment for ose module, we are going to interview the mahajaya housing developement company and ask question to do the research on the company. 4 people are going to interview the top management level, middle management level, the low level management and perhaps customers as well. i have make a list of question for each level of management level with my team which consist of derrick, kingston,raynor ,kong chian adn razif. all the things have already arranged and there is only left exactly 9 days to done the report of more than 2000 words and a slides for the presentation.haha..catching the date line now, it will be very exciting next week plus the debate session of the english, there is where the stress will be coming and maybe i will have a neck pain by then.however, this is an eustress and i am happy that i finally can expose to the outside environment of the working place, the organisation structure, the system of the company and the experience.

I will be very busy in the next few weeks to finish my test, presentation, assignment and final exam. thus, i have to pull my socks up and burning the midnight oil from now onwards. i have to do many and many revision as the 12, 13,15 of may are my final exam for this semester, going to the 2nd semester after that. i may have 1 or 2 weeks free at that time after the exam to wait for the result to release before the enrolment of the 2nd semester.

Besides, there is also another things tat make me very happy, i finally manage to collect all the model of the ferrari car and a total of 13 cars now except for the yellow 1 because i have the exactly same model in red colour.so happy, a full set of ferrari model car..haha XD

I may be busy for the next few weeks and i will try to get back to u all whenever i have a free time to write my blog.


ENGINEER FOR SUCCESS!!!!!!

Health Care Talk

Today, my PDSM lecturer, Ms Lua took our group 1 students for a health care talk presented by the MAA-MEDIcare Kidney Charity Fund. They gave us the information about the MAA organisation, their patients and activities held throughout the year. The talk was quite informative and not as boring as i thought at first, maybe because there were some jokes around and the presentor has a good verbal and non-verbal communication in presenting her talk. Unfortunately we have to do our note taking for the talk and hand in to Ms Lua on monday and the presentor also notice that we keep on writing and ask us the reason for that. After that, it is a lucky draw session by our lecturer,guess what happen, i am the first chosen person and it was kind of unexpected and surprise me that time. i got the goody bag with 1 watch and an electronic device of calender calculator with time and alarm. i also get a small box,distributed by them to put our changes and coins inside and return to them later if i wished, quite good quality also..

There was a celebration of tamil new year at noon, the foyeur was full with people and it last for 3 hours, i can hear their noise and music loud and clear even i am inside the library, now you can figure out how noisy is that.

After that, it is the english class. the lecturer,Ms Nadiah group us into a team and given the title for us to debate for the speaking assessment. The title is Freedom for an individual is not a myth,im the opposing team,i team with jeffry and mohammad from pakistan. we have no lectures after that and i be miserable for 2 hours to wait for the exam briefing at 3.20pm. Dockets are collected and mean that the final exam for this semester is around the corner. Besides, we are given the paper to choose which field and course we will specialised in the 2nd semester.The people have not decide their mind need to make their decision now.
The decision that we make today may seem small and nothing but it will change your future. think carefully my friend.

College Life

Today suddenly got a feeling of writing a blog so i juz sign up a blog. Well, now i juz simply run through about my college life since dunno wad to write. My college start until now is almost 4 months, presentations and assingments have been done but still got some assignments around for the next few weeks and some test and the final exam for this semester is toward the end. What I can say is so far so good,not having much problems. In the past 4 month time, I already experience and try new things and the way of doing things in college way which are different from last time in secondary school. Wel, im sure all my friends will experience it, so no need to be worry, you are the next. It was quite hard at first but now i almost get use to it. I met some new friends in my group(foundation 1st intake divide to 2 group), me is in group 1. they are nice and helpful also but of cuz got some characters and personalities that i dislike, but human muz have their weakness, so juz be patient and accept their weakness. On the other hand, I have applied several scholarships and the interviews have been done except still got 1 not yet call for the interview,still waiting. the others still no reply after the interview. Haiz, what will the result be?? I think i juz take it easy since this is beyond my control, what is important is to try my best effort in it, the rest juz leave it for the GOD. The day i interview with kai ming, bt dn take photos with him,juz me myelf.

Furthermore,5th of april 2008 is school Hari Anugerah Cemerlang.I got RM90+Domino Express Card+domino coupon on that day.haha..I also met many friends that day and have a long time of chatting for 4 hours waiting for the anugerah, that day really very happy since long time din participate in gathering after the college start..After the ceremony end, we go to midvalley for a boring movie,Nims Island which is no proper story line, no meaning, no climax and nothing except for boring. after that i back home and thanks for jinn mother fetching me and mei yon back home.
